Meet the Pink Philodendron Caramel Marble – a beautiful, variegated plant that is perfect for adding a touch of elegance to any home.

If you’re looking to decorate your home with something special and unique, the Pink Philodendron Caramel Marble (also known as the Eucalyptus Fortunei ‘Variegata’) might be just what you’re looking for. This gorgeous plant has an elegant, wavy shape that lends it an air of refinement and will fit right in with many different types of home décor styles. Here are some more facts about this lovely plant…

Introducing the Pink Philodendron Caramel Marble

The wonderful thing about creating an elegant look with plants in your home is that it’s always possible to change your look by simply moving them around or re-potting them in new containers.

Our latest acquisition does just that and we couldn’t be more excited about how it fits into our collection! The pink philodendron, or Monstera deliciosus (previously known as Philodendron oxycardium), is native to tropical regions like South America and has made its way here thanks to plant explorers who traveled abroad; back in 1759 it was documented at a greenhouse called Royal Botanic Gardens Kew near London in what we now know as Great Britain.

Today you can find many similar varieties all over Europe and North America.

The Uniqueness of the Plant

The Pink Philodendron Caramel Marble’s official name is Syngonium podophyllum pictum. It’s part of a genus of houseplants called Araceae and produces delicate white flowers all year long. The original species, originating from Central America and South America, can grow as tall as 10 feet with vines as thick as 4 inches in diameter.

The variety Presto Cherry Rose has thinner vines than its wild cousins but makes up for it with elegant pink leaves edged in cream. More so than other varieties available today, it is particularly known for displaying strikingly different shades on its surface at different times throughout the day, giving it an almost marble-like appearance.

What plant is a caramel marble?

This stunning hybrid is also known as Pink Philodendron or Chocolate Plant and is a cross between two very popular and super-easy-to-grow houseplants: The golden Pothos (Philodendron domesticum) and Chinese evergreen (Aglaonema commutatum).

This gorgeous plant can be grown either indoors or outdoors in sun or shade, although it prefers plenty of light while indoors. It’s easy to care for and only needs watering when soil feels dry. With fast growing stems and leaves covered in pure white splotches, no wonder they are so popular!

With its intriguing patterning and colours and its ability to look good in almost any setting, there’s no doubt about it: pink philodendron caramel marble variegated has quickly become one of our most popular plants at Sunnyside Nursery.

Although you might see other varieties out there with similar colouring, we believe ours really stands out because of its flawless foliage; an even mix of jade green splashed with flashes of red and purple makes each leaf look as if it was designed by nature herself. If you think they sound as good as they look though…the wait’s almost over!

Is caramel marble variegation stable?

At Sprout Home, we’re confident our selection of plants will grow into their full potential and remain healthy through delivery and in your care. The pink philodendron caramel marble plant has been hybridized by Gere Janssen as part of his impressive 30-year breeding program.

Janssen’s goal was to create easy-to-grow plants with high aesthetic value and durability—and he succeeded! The dramatic coloration displayed by all generations of caramel marble are not considered stable yet (meaning they don’t tend to hold onto their color through repeated generations), but we expect that over time they will remain strong in future batches.

How To Care For The Pink Philodendron Caramel Marble Plant

The Pink Philodendron Caramel Marble is a plant which requires very little maintenance. Watering it should be done once every three days or so and humidity levels should be kept at around 40-50%.

It’s also important to remember that temperatures should never exceed 80 degrees as doing so will cause yellowing in leaves and even leaf loss.

Soil should always be kept moist but not wet; never allowing soil to dry out completely will keep roots from rotting and plants from withering away due to malnutrition. Remember: Plants are living things too! They need food, water, light and fresh air just like us!

Water Requirements

A key part of growing and maintaining your Pink Philodendron Caramel Marble is keeping it properly hydrated—but not over-watered! Keep an eye on your new houseplant by testing its soil with your finger every other day or so. If it feels lightly moist (not soggy), you’re doing great! If it feels dry at all, don’t wait to water—you risk burning off those precious leaves and stressing out your plant in general.

Light Requirements

The Pink Philodendron Caramel Marble does best in an east-facing window that receives natural sunlight during part of its day; however, it can adapt to less light and thrive if placed in indirect sunlight.

It prefers a location without a lot of direct sunlight as leaves may become scorched from too much direct light. For optimal growth and health, it should be exposed to 14 hours or more of natural lighting per day; however, adequate lighting isn’t necessary for maintenance—the plant can do well with anywhere from 12-16 hours per day or less with no loss in leaf quality or coloration.

Soil Requirements

The Pink Philodendron Caramel Marble should be placed in a well-drained soil that is more on the sandy side and make sure you provide your plant with constant exposure to filtered sunlight or bright sunlight without exposure to direct sun light throughout the day.

Soil pH should not exceed 6.5 for optimal growth and coloration. Maintain soil at 60–80% humidity and temperatures should not exceed 82 degrees Fahrenheit (28 °C). Letting your surface roots dry out between watering cycles may result in root rot, which may kill your plants if not remedied immediately.

Why is philodendron caramel marble so expensive?

While you might be hesitant to spend money on a plant with leaves as fancy as its name, there are several reasons why it’s well worth every penny: •Beautiful design: For years people have admired philodendrons for their long and slender leaves; many consider them nothing short of works of art.

In fact, they’re so beautiful they’ve even been placed in museums around Asia! The caramel marble variety is no exception; in addition to its unique coloration and patterning (which combines shades of green and brown), it has some impressive specimens at upwards of 20 feet tall. Who wouldn’t want one growing in their front yard?
